Don't know if this is old news but I havn't seen it before. Check out:

It details changes in settings regarding the GALA function. I know it's audi and the Delta radio and until tomorrow I don't know if it will work with VW's but i'm going to give it a try as setting 8 is not enough and setting 9 is too much. so what 1,2,3,4... etc are four I have no idea!!
