Evening,
Got a 2011 polo gti 40k fsh
The other day on the downshift I'm sure I noticed a puff if Blue smoke but thought I was being paranoid, tonight I noticed this again on the downshift
Any ideas on what this could be or where I begin looking
Thanks

Re: Blue smoke on downshift
Will go through the 100s of pages tomorrow, at a high level if it using oil ( as it would seem ) if I keep it topped up is that ok or does the oil usage lead to further issues?

Re: Blue smoke on downshift
No, it's a completely different engine in the Blue GT; a 1.4 turbo with cylinder deactivation. The 6R GTI's 1.4 engine is a twin charge engine (both supercharged and turbo charged).
As far as I'm aware, the engine in the Blue GT doesn't suffer from excessive oil consumption that many of the engines fitted to the 6R GTI do.
