Wheel size fitment?
Wheel size fitment?
I was just wondering if anyone would happen to know if VW wheels with an offset of et46 from a Polo 6r would fit a 1.2polo S 2012. Currently on the stock 14" steel wheels and fancy a change but i'm not sure what the offset off the current wheels are?

Welcome to the forum j77.
I'm assuming your current steel wheels are 5j x 14 with an offset of ET35 and tyre size 175/70 R14.
VW wheels for the 6r Polo with an offset of ET46 will be either 16" or 17" and 7" wide (7j). You've not said whether the Polo wheels you're considering are 16" or 17" (they're unlikely to be 15" VW wheels, as these are usually 6j with an offset of ET40 for the 6r). Tyre sizes are 215/45 R16 (16" wheels) or 215/40 R17 (17" wheels).
Both the 16" and 17" VW wheels with an offset of ET46 off a 6r Polo should fit your car without any problems, as they should have the same bolt pattern (PCD 5x100) and centre bore (57.1) as your existing wheels. To see what impact they will have on clearance with the suspension struts and bodywork, I'd suggest you use an offset calculator like the one at the link below;
http://www.willtheyfit.com
Input the wheel and tyre size for both your existing wheels and the wheels you're considering, and it will calculate any change in suspension clearance and poke compared to your current set up.
Bear in mind that fitting different wheels to your car is classed as a modification for insurance purposes, so you will need to inform your insurer if you do decide to change your wheels.

Re: Wheel size fitment?
Thanks for your help, the ones I am considering are indeed 16" and 7j. And my current tires are also 175/70 r14. Ill use the calculator you suggested, Thanks.
Edit:
The calculator gives a change in inset of 36.4mm while a change in poke of 14.4mm.
