Based on chassis number WVWZZZ6RZBU082932 , which ABS would be compatible?

6R0 907 379AF seems likely but there are different aluminium block housings, I think I need 6R0 614 517AB?

If the black electrical box says 6R0 907 379AF as on a 1.2 Petrol will this still work on a 1.4?

6R0 907... is the black control module with the electronics
6R0 614.... is the hydraulic part.
these two together are assembled into one part.

I'm not sure about compatibility, but as a rule of thumb....
if the CGGB engine has been delivered in the Polo 6R, or one of it's twin brothers (audi A1, Seat Ibiza 6J, Fabia 5J facelift) then it will be compatible with ABS 8.2, ABS 9.0, ESP 8.2i and ESP 9.0i.

Finding the correct coding for the ABS/ESP module will be tricky but we'll help you.

I bought one last month ECU 6R0907379R which claimed to be from a 2010 Polo 6R CGGB. But the socket was very slightly different (pins the same but plastic alignment notch about 2mm out) to the male wiring loom plug.

It was not recognised on VCDS/VAGCOM. I think this should have been for a 1.6 TDI or 1.2 TSI machine.

did you check pin compatibility? abs8.2 has a different pin layout compared to esp8.2i, for example.
does your wiring loom come from a car with esp?
