Wife has a 1.4 Polo 11 plate
The two rear brake lights work but the high level one has stopped
Thinking I would change a bulb took the red lens cover off and there are no bulbs to be changed
The unit is a circuit board with several small leds soldered to it
Took said circuit to a tv repair shop to have it tested and ALL the bulbs light up individually and as one strip
Power is also at the plug that's popping out into the roof spoiler/high level light feed
Question ...... is there a separate fuse for the High level light?
Anyone else had this problem?

There is no separate fuse. Advise is to check the rubber grommet where the wiring loom goes from the body to the boot. Presence of cuts, breaks and other stuff in the wiring loom will limit function.
