Hi New to the forum. Didn't know if anyone had already sourced new wing mirror heating elements as 1 has died on mine and can't seem to find a replacement element for it
Thanks

Re: Wing Mirror Heating Element
think it's bonded onto the back of the glass
so you would need to get a complete new mirror glass

Re: Wing Mirror Heating Element
Now if you could get hold of the correct size/shape of heater tapes then you could replace them, I've been there with my old Passat, blissfully unaware that I could burn out my mirror heaters until I read about this "feature" on an American based VW owners site, and yes it was too late to save both of mine, tapes had turned into a black carbonised version of their original selves! That is what can happen when you move from owning "lesser" cars like Fords and Vauxhalls to superior cars like VW Group products, I did not expect that stupidity! Hum, is that in part, why they lost the last two wars??
