I have a polo with an issue, on idling the can is a bit lumpy but when trying to drive it struggles and seems like the timing is out.
I have scanned the car and got po136 and po140 and po302, I know the first two are for the lower lambda sensor which I have replaced only to then get the po302 (cyl2 misfire)
I have cleaned and reset all plugs to 1.1mm which were fail clean and without oil, have also tried swapping the plugs around along with swapping the coils around - I did do this separately though.
Am still getting po302 but it can't be an electrical misfire or the po302 would have changed to 1 or 3.
Have also test the compression but there is only around 5psi difference (approx. 185) between cylinders.
Am now stuck, any ideas?
Paul.

Malfunctioning injector perhaps.

did you have a look at the coil leads?

Hi, can try an injector test, but not sure how to.
All leads on the coils look OK, no obvious damage, looks quite a job to strip down to the ecu to check wiring continuity.

swap injectors around, see if the misfires move with it.
