VW Polo 6R 1.6TDI - marin6r
Hello everyone!
My name is Marin, I'm from Split, Croatia, and I have found out about this forum while Google-ing for a solution to the problem I have ( I will come to that matter later).
My brother works at VW dealership, so I have his full support considering wirind diagrams and tools for assembly/dissasembly.
I own a VW Polo from 2010 year, 1.6TDI engine with 55kw (at least it was from factory).
I bought it in this condition:
After some detailing, new steering wheel and new radio, it started to look like a car :
Then I got steering wheel from 6C Polo with buttons and RCD330B with rearview camera:
This was my first exterior upgrade (if I don't count LED license plates from new VW Up):
-piano black grille from polo 6C
First engine update:
-DPF off
-EGR off
-remap to 89kw
Interestigly, when tested prior to remap, factory map showed only 43kw.
It drives soo much better now.
Next planned exterior update:
-headlights and front bumper from 6C
-6C rear bumper
Also, does anyone know is it possible to make this steering wheel buttons usable? So I can shift items in BCM, adjust radio and CC?

Re: VW Polo 6R 1.6TDI - marin6r
Hello Marin welcome.
Thanks for the information and the images.
Some of the images before detailing are truly repugnant (neither good nor bad, just repugnant ), so it's easier to improve its condition.
Buy/get the VCDS cable (you'll need it) and post a recent/fresh and full autoscan.
Keep all the information in this thread, it'll be very useful for those who want to help you when you make questions ...and the key for some of your projects (CCS, MFSW - not the CCS buttons -, etc).
Greetings.

Is it a problem if I post a scan via ODIS, not VCDS?

How did you manage to fit the footrest in place ?
Ah and which camera you use for rear view?

Sorry for late reply.
I secured footrest in place by using zip ties. It is very very stable, and has not moved an inch since the day I mounted it. About RVC, I installed cheap Ebay one, but I am planning to get one inside of VW logo.

Hi men, nice car
I recently installed a RCD330+ and now i'm thinking of installing a rear camera also.
Can i ask you some questions about installation?
1. Which type of camera did you installed?
2. Do we need to remove bumper for installing? or it's accessible from the trunk?
3. Did you used that delay/filter?
Maybe any tips from you? Can you make a photo of camera from the outside please?
Thank you in advance!
Re: VW Polo 6R 1.6TDI - marin6r
1. I installed cheap 170degree view camera from EBay, smallest one available (without those leds for backup lights)
2. With a bit of fiddling, you can install it without removing bumper.
3. No, I did not use that filter, raw 12v power input with fuse.

Installed Audi A1 S-line knob and gaitor. Great improvement over the stock one in my opinion.
