Since replacing the battery of the old unit did not solve the autoscan error I decided to replace the alarm horn.
Someone asked me how to do this job so I took some picture during the replacement of faulty unit.
HOW TO REPLACE A FAULY ALARM HORN ON POLO 6R/6C
Disconnect the battery.

Remove wipers plastic caps using a flat screwdriver.

Unscrew the M13 nuts.

Use a proper tool to remove the wipers.
You can buy it on-line (just search for wiper removal).

Remove the wipers as showed in the picture.

Remove the rubber gasket.

Remove the plastic cover using a wedge being careful to not damage the windscreen.

You can remove the plastic cover easily keeping the hood half opened.

The metal box in the middle is the alarm bracket. If It's an original installation It's secured with 2 rivets.
My car did not have originally the alarm horn so I fixed the bracket using screws and nuts for an easier removal.

Remove the bracket sliding It to the left and disconnect the alarm horn.

Reassembly everything following the same steps in reverse.
