Hi there,
First post here so let me know if I’m doing anything wrong!
I brought a 1.4 SOHC Polo match just under a year ago as my first car, learnt to drive in it, passed my test in it and have covered about 4000 miles in it now. It’s a great little motor and I have very little to gripe about, but one of those things is that I have left the sidelights on countless times as there isn’t a lights on-door open chime/buzzer (that I know of)
Now, I don’t know if it’s a fault with the gauge cluster, a fuse or if it plain doesn’t have one. I have seen people saying that aftermarket radios can mess with it, and that the drivers door switch has gone, but the interior light comes on and goes off every time I open and close the door, so I think the switch is fine. The radio as well is a Volkswagen Gamma unit (Upgraded from the Beta) so I don’t think it’s that either.
Any help or advice with this problem would be greatly appreciated, and if you need any more info, feel free to ask!
Thanks in advance,
John
Lights on, door open buzzer not working, or absent?
