Polo 2016 base unit removal

Hi all,

Am trying at the moment to remove the mib base unit from the glove box ( located at the bottom, not the top) I managed to get it halfway out but it doesn't come all the way out. am I overseeing something? Please don't tell me I need to unplug the cables before I remove it

You will need to drop the whole glove box as the cables are quite short.

I had the whole glovebox at about 6- deg into the foot well to get the cables to allow access to the rear of the unit for disconnection as the clips are all at the bottom face of the unit at the back
