Sorry, I can’t answer your question. However, there may be other implications of removing an item of original-fit safety equipment - especially if you will be using your car on public roads. Therefore, it would certainly be worth checking out the following if you’ve not already done so;
- will your car pass an MOT if you remove an airbag? The article by the AA at the link below states this would be an MOT failure (see list at the bottom of the article) - https://www.theaa.com/driving-advice/service-repair/mot
- Insurance; making a safety-related modification such as this - especially if it means your car wouldn’t be able to pass an MOT - would probably mean your insurer would refuse to cover you. Not informing them could invalidate your insurance cover, which would effectively mean you’d be driving without insurance.
