Hope someone can help. Trying to understand if The central locking re my boot is malfunctioning. I don’t understand what is supposed to happen when you press and hold the boot opening button.
The Instruction manual states:
Press the boot lid button briefly to unlock the boot lid.
Or
Press and hold the boot lid button until the boot lid has unopened a few centimetres automatically.
The “automatically” function makes more of a noise than pressing the button briefly, and I see the boot lid jump a bit, but with both functions I still have to use the rear badge to open the boot as it remains largely closed. So what is the difference in the 2 functions?
Thanks

Re: POLO 2016 MATCH BOOT OPENING QUERY
Think of it as a boot unlocking button rather than a boot opening button. Press it and the lock is released but you still have to unlatch using the handle. It designed that way so it is mechanically restrained and will not fly open in the event of an electrical malfunction.

Thanks for your reply.
I still don’t understand why it seems to offer 2 functions which are visually And audibly different, But just do the same thing.
