2011 VW POLO MODA (70) 6R rear view dash cam hardwiring help!!

Hi everyone,

Model of car:
2011 VOLKSWAGEN POLO MODA (70), 1198cc Petrol, 3DR, Manual (6R I believe)

I'm trying to hardwire a rear view dash cam to my reverse light but I am unsure which wire is the reverse light. I have attached a photo of what I have below....the red wire is the dash cam but I am unsure which wire it needs to be connected to. Please can anyone advise any help on this??

Also in regards to the wiring into the fuse box, it is currently wired to the internal lights (switched fuse). Is this the most appropriate as my dash cam has a parking monitor so I would like it to turn on even with the igniton off if it gets hit. I'm worried that if I wire it into a live fuse then it will drain the battery.

To the black wire with white dots ( the black wire on far right )
Ps u dont have to splice there, you can remove the plastic piece that holds the warning triange, behind ther you can find the wireing loom for lights, if that more convinient for you.

What did you mean by the second bit? What plastic piece with the warning triangle?

In the booth, where the tunk latches. You have a plastic trim piece that holds the warning triange. If you remove it you will find the wireing loom that goes from one tail light to another. You can tap the wire there, instead of direct to the tailight if you want. Making it a bit cleaner. I hope you understand!
The fat solid brown wire is ground.

Not sure if the wireing is the same as mine but make sure ya on the left side as you only have 1 reverse light, for me was the black wire with blue line, see my post
