Does my Polo 6R GTI need a DSG Service?

I got my 2012 Polo 6R GTI on 37,000 miles and it is now on 55,000. I have heard from various sources that it needs to have a DSG service around 40k miles? I'm pretty sure this hasnt been done on my car before, and if the case is that it needs doing, I want to get it done ASAP. Cheers.

the polo dsg gearbox does not need to be serviced as it is sealed for life (it's a dry clutch model)

the other wet clutch dsg gearboxes do require a service every 40k
