Abs coding 6r

Post by Dubulike »

Help!!!
Lost long coding on my 6r.
I've tried building a code from scratch but it's not accepting it. Like to see how far out I am and where I went wrong.
Its 2013 6r, cgpb 1.2, 256 discs & drums, esp, tpms.
Chassis number ends 007212
I've tried - 23DD2485210223C7C416246A845340400900
But its rejected.
Someone please help, dont know where else to turn...

Do you have an autoscan? Why was the ABS coding lost? Cluster and engine ECU are still the same?

what I came up with: 23DD2485212302C7C416246A845340800905

23 DD 24 85 21 02 23 C7 C4 16 24 6A 84 53 40 40 09 00 yours
23 DD 24 85 21 23 02 C7 C4 16 24 6A 84 53 40 80 09 05 mine
00 00 00 00 00 XX XX 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 XX 00 XX differences

looks like you inverted bytes 5 and 6. byte 15 is 80 (petrol and RHD) rather than 40 (petrol and LHD).
byte 17 bit 0 TPMS and bit 2 XDS

Ahhh, still rejecting code. We cant be far off.
Are there any bytes that just might be different, any variation we've overlooked.....

Then I'll ask again, why was the coding lost? Autoscan? Does the engine start?

Like a t**t, thought I'd put another set of clocks in with needle sweep on, so changed full ecu/bcm etc. Car runs fine, but abs lights came on. Scanned it and pump code was all 0's
Changed abs pump over which matched these clocks, same faults.
Changed all ecu/bcm & pump back to original, and lights still on. Its recoded itself on not recognizing the vin/ecu.
Hence the unnecessary need for abs long code. Wish I hadnt touched it, but I've bought early polos with no keys, dash issues etc and theyve been fine. Stuffs getting far too complex....

the VIN you gave me, is that the vin of your car or the VIN stored in the ECU/clocks? because for the ABS coding, it's the VIN in the clocks and ECU that matters.
it's displayed when you go the Advanced ID of either the 01 Engine module or the 25 Immobiliser module. These should also matched.

All modules are now back to original. Ecu/clocks and pump match. I have a master tech at vw checking for a code today too. Be interesting to see what he comes up with from a vin & reg.

Well, if you change both the ECU and the clocks, that will influence the ABS coding.
If you can get me the new VIN in the ECU and clocks I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to come up with the correct coding.
