Hi.
Just got my 2015 6c gt blue motion today!
Any hints and tips about it?
I do have one initial question, is there no phone holders that can clip onto that bit with the 2 lines (what even is it) next to the hazards button?
I’ve attached a pic

Also I’m getting that mirror link needs to be activated message. What’s the best thing to do about that? I’ve bought it as approved used from a vw dealer

The two horizontal slots below the centre right air vent are card holders (e.g. for credit cards, bank cards, card key access cards etc.).

If by Mirror Link you mean Car Net app connect, there’s a lengthy discussion thread on this forum board on Car Net App Connect that would be worth you reading - link below. If your infotainment unit is one that’s App Connect compatible (not all are), you can get it activated at a VW dealer. The cost to get this done used to be around £240 - £250 a few years ago.

Excellent thanks!
So yes turns out mine is the one you can’t do anything with.
And right that makes sense with the card holder but it looks like a good place to clip on a phone holder I’ll see what I can find

The best phone holder I found is magnetic (no good if you have wireless charging) as it clips to the air vent

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0777K25JM

It you clip it to the bottom 'rung' of the vent it stays put as the weight of the phone pulls the vent downwards until it hits the bottom. It works brilliantly in the Summer as the air con keeps the phone cool but less so in the Winter as you don't really want to keep the phone toasty hot. I usually switch it to the vent towards the centre of the car and turn the vent to off.
