Post by E2009 »

Hi

My daughters stereo display on her vw polo is faulty she said it just started by the screen jumping and flickering then pretty much blank/distorted as you can see in the pictures, has this been an issue with these displays before ?

Any help much Appreciated

Looks similar to a phone screen when it breaks after it's been dropped. In my very unprofessional opinion, it's probably f****d but definitely worth checking the connections between the head unit in the glovebox and the screen itself.

Has any liquid got to the screen or the headunit?

I'm assuming it's unresponsive?

Edit: Just a general forum tip. It might be best to re-title your post to be relevant to the issue you are facing as it'll help attract those that have experienced it before and or those that might know how to resolve it.

Thanks so much for the reply Bepis

No liquid has gotten near that area at all.
The stereo is still working though when it's powered on.
I will try checking the connections between the head unit and the glovebox

Thanks for your help
