1.6 tdi Cay engine plug and play?

Hello,

Just after a bit of information,

Have the chance to buy a cheap 1.6 tdi as a bit of a winter project, but the engine is 'fooked', is it just a case of removing the old lump and putting in a replacement engine plugging in and playing?

...does that still apply if if the 1.6 motor came out of a Golf or A1 with a higher bhp output?

No that's all fine. Just swap engine mount and coolant piping where necessary
