New Polo R-Line how long from Sheerness?
I’ve got good news! After only 5 months the new car is on the Danube Highway on its way into Sheerness! How long have others had to wait to pick up their car once it arrived at Sheerness to a dealer in Kent, Medway to be exact?

I don’t think there’s a standard answer to your question as it’ll influenced by external factors outside of VW’s or the dealer’s control - e.g.;
- number of vehicles at Sheerness to be transported to dealerships
- number of transporters available
- your car getting allocated a space on a transporter
- other factors such as whether or not there’s any industrial action affecting movement of vehicles from Sheerness
I dare say from a logistics point of view, the transportation companies used by VW will always try and ensure there are sufficient vehicles to completely fill a transporter for deliveries to your dealership (JCB Medway?) or other dealerships in the same geographical area, to avoid running only partially full transporter vehicles. That could influence the length of time a car sits waiting at Sheerness, although with JCB Medway being a large VW dealer, they probably have regular deliveries from Sheerness.
As a guesstimate, I’d say it might take up to a couple of weeks to reach your dealer once it’s been unloaded at Sheerness but that guess could be wildly out, depending on other factors such as those above.

Re: New Polo R-Line how long from Sheerness?
Thank you the info! I think the same, but I’ve been reading other people have managed to get it to their dealer in 4 days. I am looking into purchasing the insurance because buying it 2-3 weeks in advance is almost 20-40% cheaper than buying it 1 week or less away.
