Hi, New to the forum but I have been using a lot of great information from here, I have followed Ciclo’s guide to install factory Bi-Xenon headlights, I have upgraded the BCM to a 7H0 737 090D from a 7H0 737 087 and installed the necessary wiring. I have carried the coding from the BCM and gateway over to the new BCM also.

The issue i have is that with the new BCM I cannot lock the vehicle, I have programmed the keys and it registers the fob being pressed (indicators flash and red led on door pin light up) but it doesn’t lock, the inside door button doesn’t lock but will unlock, also doesn’t lock from the drivers door lock with key, if I plug my old BCM in it will lock fine,

I’m pretty stuck now and not sure what else to try? Help would be much appreciated, thanks, Dan.

Hm do you have a scan with the 087 BCM? Did you transfer coding and adaptations for bcm and can gateway?

I can post a scan of the 087 BCM but I have carried both the coding for the BCM and the gateway

Are you sure? Gateway is not happy with module 61 and 05 for example

Yes I’m sure, I’m starting to think it’s the BCM itself at fault as it has locked a couple of times now when driving (auto lock) and button has worked a couple of times, you can also hear the BCM clicking when internal button is pressed but it doesn’t activate the locks most of the time

It looks like the BCM Max you have installed came from a vehicle (donor car) with Kessy.

These BCMs can only be reprogrammed via online with VW servers.

Solution:
You need to find a New BCM Max or one that came from a donor car without Kessy.
I recommend the BCM Max 7E0 instead of the 7H0. The 7E0 are more up to date, they are better in terms of equipment compatibility.

-The way to get rid of address 61 from the GW installation list:

- Enable address 61 in Gateway installation list.
- Go to address 61 and code all Bytes to 00.
- Return to GW installation list and disable the address 61.
- Go to Autoscan and Click on Gateway installation list button.
- Click on Clear All DTCs.

The address 61 should no longer be present in the Autoscan.
