Breaking issues when braking.

Post by MoRahman »

Hi guys. In need of Abit advice? Sorry if it's a stupid question? When I brake my steering shakes? What can be the issue? And I'm aware the tracking aliment is slightly out, can that be the issue?. Thanks

As above, ie discs warped slightly, or TCA bush(es) torn, or steering rod end(s) either inner or outer worn, or something else.

Difficult to diagnose at a distance.

@MoRahman; I owned a Ford Escort XR3 back in the 1980’s where I experienced I vibration through the steering under braking. The cause was diagnosed as warped brake discs - apparently due to the discs being from a defective batch that were fitted when the car was built.

However, as @RUM4MO has said, steering vibration under braking could be due to other worn components, so best to get your car checked out to determine the cause.
