As you see in that tutorial, you need to add two wires to the T41 connector.
One wire is for communication, called LIN, and another wire is for Positive power.
- The LIN is easier to join/splice in the area of the door connector for the driver's door. The BCM connector area is narrow and not recommended for splicing wires.
- It is better to take the +15 positive signal (12v) from the fuse box by adding a 5A fuse.

For 6R RHD it is mirror image.

It's very easy with the right tools and skills (30 minutes).
It is not Plug and Play.

I think VW has developed an app for smartphones that have installation tools for direct installation.
