Not for me, just some decals and leather seats. I’m considering switching back to something bigger anyway.

Re: VW Polo GTI 25th Edition
Not aware of anyone on the forum who is thinking of ordering one. IMHO it doesn’t really offer anything much over the standard car other than leather seats and alloys that won’t suffer from white worm (i.e. they’re not diamond cut).TurboTrev wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2023 5:59 pm The order books are now open for the GTI 25th Edition: https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/en/new/pol ... olo-gti-25 Youtube review in German here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSobEg5EckY

I’d take the alloys but wouldn’t want the car. My three year old GTI+ is barely run in (just 12,600 miles covered in 3 years) so I’m planning on keeping it for at least another 12-24 months.
There’s an existing discussion thread on the ED25 GTI at the link below;

I quite like the look of it and the changes they've made, but I'm a sucker (mug) for special editions.

Don’t see why you would order the non special edition now.
Better seats, wheels (including the steering wheel as back to physical buttons).
Not sure it offers much over my 2019 model though!

Re: VW Polo GTI 25th Edition
Price would be the determining factor for me in deciding which to buy. With a list price of £31,295 for the ED25, it’s very expensive IMHO and with production being limited to 2,500 cars worldwide, the possibility of getting any discount - other than VW’s PCP finance contribution - off the price would be pretty much non-existent. Drive the Deal are offering discounts of around 14% off the list price of a standard GTI though (the 14% includes VW’s current £1,500 PCP contribution), making the standard car much better value.
So faced with the choice of paying;
- £29,795 (£31,295, minus £1,500 PCP finance contribution) for an ED25
- £24,795 (after discount, including finance contribution) for a standard GTI

Re: VW Polo GTI 25th Edition
Im sure it has a fair few extras vs a standard gti as well that once optioned probably make it about the same price.
Still not enough difference to change though.

Re: VW Polo GTI 25th Edition
25th Edition available through Carwow with just over £3,000 discount (including the £1,500 deposit contribution), so discounts are there. Probably better 2nd hand prices further down the line as well?

Re: VW Polo GTI 25th Edition
If you were considering getting a polo gti I could see why someone would pay extra. If you already have a polo gti then, personally, it’s not worth it. Some decals, leather seats and different wheels with no mechanical differences or improvements is purely for the fanboys.
