Key fob unresponsive since alarm

Hi all.

My nephew ended up setting off his alarm after using the key to open the drivers door (he usually doesn't use the safelock feature and wasn't sure how to unlock). Since then the key fob is unresponsive and had to use the spare fob to open the rest of the passenger doors.

Any ideas on a quick fix?

Maybe the battery in the unresponsive key fob has ‘died’ - Easy to test by taking the battery out of the spare key fob and try it in the unresponsive key fob.

Does the unresponsive key fob still work in the ignition and start the engine?
