Left speakers crackling

Hello,

My "new" 2010 Polo 6R has suddenly started having crackling bass speakers on the left side. I had thought at first it was just the front one but when I used the radio controls to just play through the back left speaker, I found it was both. I had ordered a front left speaker but given that they are both now crackling, I think it might not be the speakers that are the problem.

Is this a common issue or has it been solved before?

If one fails, it makes sense for it's opposite to fail. Similar hours worked, the same tension accepted.
The previous owner may have played them loudly and as a result they were torn.
Remove the door panels, you will find out if they are torn.
