1.2L Match Running Lean

Post by VWPOLO2012 »

Mechanical Advice appreciated

My VW Polo 1.2 2012 has been a great car except for one major issue. Every few months a check engine light comes on with the OBD fault stating “fuel running lean”. I can feel a difference driving the car when this error light comes on. Each time this light has come on , I've gone straight to VW and gotten the car checked and had the fuel filter, air filter , spark plugs replaced and have been through 2 oxygen sensors! This hasn’t stopped the light from coming back on after 7/8 months though. I love the car and really don’t want to have to sell it , any one able to offer me some advice????
Hopefully you guys on the VW POLO forum have some experience with this.

Not too mechanically inclined but could this have anything to do with diesel gate affecting all VWs from this era??

I can provide more info if asked :)

I can be the low fuel pressure pump inside your fuel tank or the high pressure pump.

Need to monitor both values with VCDS to check if the required values are reached by the pumps.
