2017 GTI issues and potential upgrades.

Hi, I'm new here and just wondered about a few things that have gone wrong with my polo and some help on upgrades that I should make to it in the future.

I've got an issue with my driver-side heated seat. When I push the button it will turn on for a split second and then turn back off again. It worked fine about a year ago now. I took it to a place to get it diagnosed and they could not find the issue. They explained that it could be the heating element in the seat that is causing it to trip out so I was just wondering if anyone else had the same if not similar issue and could point me in the direction of fixing it and finding where I can get one of the heating elements from.

I've been looking at getting some better alloys as I've currently got the stock ones which sit so far back in the arch (They're 215/40/17). If anyone knows what size I would need to get to allow for a better fitment I'd be extremely grateful as I have no idea how offset and all that stuff works.

Another thing, I want to get an induction kit, turbo elbow and a turbo muffler delete. For the induction, I've been very much stuck between the options of RTMG, Racing Line or Ram Air. As for the turbo elbow and turbo muffler delete I need some pointers with those as I'm not sure if they are even worth it.

The last thing is with remapping the car, I made the very bright choice of buying the DSG one which has many different issues with mapping and after contacting a few remapping shops they've told me that they don't want to deal with it but have given me a few details on what some other places might offer which is limiting the torque or increasing the clamping pressure but not touching the shift speed. I've played with the idea of a DQ250 swap and have contacted a TVS specialist near me and would also appreciate some pointers on if it's worth it and maybe somewhere I could get it done a little cheaper since TVS quotes around £4000.

Apologies for the wall of text but trying to ask this sort of stuff in Facebook groups where people are only interested in how much Maxton Design you have on your polo, which as you can imagine, I wouldn't get much of a response from.

Sorry I am not writing with advice, but I do have exactly the same issue as you with the drivers side heated seat on my BlueGT - light goes straight off and won't come back on. Apparently is a heating element issue, please do reply here if you find a solution as I am selling the car soon and want to get it sorted haha! I will have a look too
