Backup camera - rear licence plate fiitting

Has anyone fitted a rear view/backup camera of the type that fits above the license plate of a 9N? It looks like this fits into one of the lamp holders and recreates one of the no plate illumination lamps.

On my old 9N3 I did it like this.
No lost light
