Selecting a MK5 (6R/6C) polo

I have done some research over the past few months and was mainly looking into MK6 polos.

I have seen that a MK5 polo could tick the boxes for me and is a smaller car in exterior dimensions which can be handy when around town.

I am ideally looking for a petrol manual MK5 polo with around max 40/45k miles. I am looking for a "newer" one - i.e 2016/2017.
When in 2017 did VW stop producing the MK5 - would there be many 67 plates?

Not many I am searching are coming up from main dealers.

From reviews, the 1.2 90PS (TSI) engine I feel is the best and the 1.0 would be underpowered on country roads. I need 5 door and petrol, manual.
