Passenger electric window broken 90% of the time

Post by nubenn »

Hello,

I recently bought my first VW Polo, and I ended up buying a 2008 1.4 TDI model.

Since buying the car I have realised that the majority of the time the passenger window does not respond to the buttons on the passenger side or the main drivers side cluster.
However every so often the window will respond when the passenger button is pressed and seemingly at random times, but never when the drivers side cluster button is pressed.
I am looking to maintain this car myself as I am interested in building some mechanical skills as I have no previous experience of cars but do a lot of other DIY, any ideas or suspected culprits would be much appreciated.

Thank you :)
