Hi everyone! I have a Problem and I dont know how to solve this. Maybe someone here knows how to proceed.
I Drive a Seat Ibiza MK5 which is mostly a Polo AW with different outer shell.
I have retrofitted the new Seat Leon IV steering wheel, which is very similar to the new Polo/Golf wheel.
I Chose the heated steering Version.
My BCM is 2Q0 937 090 Same as Polo AW.
My new clockspring Module is 5Q0953549D.
My new stalks without ACC (new wheel has ACC buttons, all working) is 5Q0953507HL.
From my car to my old clockspring there was a 16 Pin connector which needed Adaptation to new 14+2 Pin connector.
Pins Adaptation: (old -> new):
Pin:1 > Pin 2
Pin:2 > Pin 4
Pin:3 > Pin 5
Pin:4 > Pin 6
Pin:5 > Pin 7
Pin:6 > Pin 13
Pin:7 > Pin 12
Pin:8 > Pin 14
Pin:11 > Pin 9
Pin:14 > Pin 10
Pin:16 > Pin 11
However, my old 16 Pin connector is Only populated with 6 wires, beeing LIN Bus, CanH / CanL, -0V, +12V and one wire to Engine module.
The steering wheel works. I did coding for heated steering Wheel to climatronic module, did coding to gateway so the heated steering Button on the wheel is beeing recognized correctly.
When i press the Button, the Virtual Cockpit Shows „heated steering Wheel Active“ but the wheel does not get warm.
In VCDS measurements from my steering wheel module, i can see that „status heated steering“ goes from „off“ to „standby“, but PWM Level stays at 0% and i cannot measure +12V at the heated steering clockspring connector.
I know, that the russian market Version Skoda Rapid NH has the Same BCM but with heated steering Option.
I Looked at the Rapid NH wiring scheme and noticed 2 Wires from BCM to steering Wheel Module, which my car does not have. So i wired T73a/41 to T16/7(T14/12) and T73a/62 to T16/16(T14/11) from BCM to steering Wheel Module but still no heat.
One sidenote: when ignition is on, the VC gives a „heated steering wheel error“ which goes away After a few seconds. After the error is gone, the Button on the Wheel is working.
I wired the 2 Pins for heated steering from clockspring to cigarette lighter fuse on fuse box, since i read somewere that the power for the heated wheel needs to be on KL15.
I am having this issue for 4 days now without really knowing what the root cause is. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
