I've just bought a wee 2008 TDI 75BHP BM AC, love it!
The only issue I'm looking to fix imminently is an issue where I need to crank it for a few secs before it'll start, hot or cold. It's got 156K miles on it and I started by changing the fuel filter but no luck.
I was wondering about the crank sensor as the next thing but this isn't throwning an error with VAGCOM.
I've also tried turning the ignition on and off a few times to test the glowplugs and see if this would help but no luck there either. When I was trying this though it was lazy to start. I'll try jumping it from another car and see if this makes a difference.
Can someone confirm if the injectors or plugs have ECU sensors on them that would throw an error that I could see?
Anything else I can check on?
I've a 2011 Touareg as my other run-about and am reasonably handy with a toolkit.
