Not sanded to fit - but in and on with all the wiring working after some problems with colours
So the following is a slightly modified guide for cars on the model break ie 97 cars which are 98 model
On the passengers side you will have to cut 2 wires, these are the ones in No1 & No2, they should be Black & Red and Black and white, these then have to be swap around. (Don't try pulling the wires out of the connector box it doesn't work!)
Old sequence
No1: Black & White
No2: Black & Red
No3: Black & Grey
No4: Black & Blue
No5: Brown
The new wiring sequence that you should end up with is this:
No1: Black & Red
No2: Black & White
No3: Black & Grey*
No4: Black & Blue*
No5: Brown*
*These ones remain in there original places
On the Drives side, this is were it gets tricky, you will have to cut 4 wires.
This is because on both sides of the MK5 the little lugs on the top and bottom of the connectors point the same way, where as on the MK4 they point the opposite way, making the drivers side one, in effect, upside down.
Old sequence
No1: Brown
No2: Grey & Green
No3: Grey & Red
No4: Black & Red
No5: Black & Green
This is the new wiring sequence:
No1: Black & Red
No2: Black & Green
No3: Grey & Red
No4: Green & Grey
No5: Brown
Just thought it might be usefull
