USA HEADUNITS

Post by Wai_Mak »

I've had my Pioneer DEH-P9400 for two years now! And I miss my Kiss and Capital Radio stations very much!!

I can not recieve even frequencies such as 100.0 100.2 100.4 ......... 101.0

but only recieve odd frequencies 99.9 100.1 100.3 ........ 101.1

I have heard of a frequency converter which i attach to the aerial to - or + the frenquency by 0.1. Can anyone shed more light on this?

Thanks guys!!

Hmm... interesting stuff. Never known/heard of these issues.

However I do remember I use to have a Alpine head-unit (brought from Germany) worked fine over there with the radio, but jus won't play over here.

Hmmm...not to sound stupid but does some stereos have a switch at the back to change the frequency settings? Or am I wrong?

Why does your subject heading mention USA? Did you get it from the states? If so then there may be an adaptor that will convert the frequencies back to the UK standard, I know that stereos from Japan can been made to work with the UK stations via an adaptor or some sort...

usa has different frequency range from europe.. in USA receivers step in 100- khz betwwen of 87.5 - 107.9 MHz. but in europe they step in 50 khz between in 87.5 - 108.00 mhz...

but some brands alpine, kenwood, jvc, nakamichi sell receivers which are compatiable with europe .... but pioneer, sony, some panasonics have only usa standarts...
