Open/close windows and sunroof from the remote

Post by kliis »

I took a look into this page http://www.zac.ch/users/sunstar/easydiag/ and translated using babelfish.
I found one interesting function:

Komfortöffnen/-schliessen:
Komfortöffnen/schliessen über die Funkfernbedienung (z.B. beim Schliessen nach längerem Druck auf die Funkfernbedienung das Schiebedach und Fenster schliessen lassen).

Translated it is something like this:

Comfort opening/latches over the radio remote maintenance (e.g. with reasoning after longer pressure on the radio remote maintenance the sun roof and window to close leave).

If I understand it well, it says that it is possible to open/close the windows and sunroof with the remote control. Any one knows if it can be activated to out Polos?

I have also found this in a post in the VAG-COM forum (http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/VAG-COM/):

Audi A4 3.0 2003
HEX-COM

Current code for Windows auto-lock/unlock I have setted up is 11880 but
would like to know, is there a way that the sunroof close automatically
when pressing once the lock button? (not having to hold the button when
locking)... I've seen in the faq nothing for that but maybe it's
something possible.
Thank you, Sylvain

This is for an Audi A4, but maybe our polos can do that?

Don't know of any function to lock up your sunroof or windows with the remote :?

Only way I know you can do it is with the key in the lock barrel (hold key in 'locked' position to do windows/sunroof up and 'unlocked' to open them. That function is standard on all 6n2's and 9n's with central locking and electric windows.

There is a unit that you can buy that links to the comfort and convenience module that allows this, but I can't remember what it's called

Today I went to my dealer asking for this, and they told me it is an exclusive Audi function, so only Audi's can do that. What a shame! :(

I am sure VW and Audi use the same control unit, but in VW they don't activate such functions. What do you think?

Sounds like they're lying  I have it on my Mk5. Yes I have a sunroof and yes it closes that too. Really cool. I can't reverse the function though, only close them.

I have a mk v GTi with leccy windows and roof and mine only close automatically by holding the key in the lock position (actually in the door lock!) for a few seconds.....the button on the key just locks the doors.

I went to another dealer and they told me this can also be activated in Golf's, so i think it must be possible in the Polo.
But the "specialist" technician that used to make this things was out and will return in a few weeks :( I will wait for him to come back and I'll let you know what he tell me! :D

For this window thing:

Are we looking into a simple VAGCom tweak or will we have to actually shed some money and buy a supplementary module or something?

I think it could be done with the standard VW equipment. I mean, a VAGCom tweak, as Babe RuthLess say.
