Amp/Sub Wiring Kit

Post by carmadaaron »

hey guys,

after looking at amp/subs (and im a beginner  ) ive decided to get the Vibe CBR10 Active
http://www.vibeaudio.co.uk/index.asp?pa ... ves-h.html

its amp rating is 300W (duno if its RMS :?: )
and the 10" sub peak power is at 1200W.

so what amp wiring kit do i need, because there are many ratings? :?
12gauge 4AWG what do they mean?

Thanks

12AWG would probably be ok, but i've always used 8awg as a minimum. :)

use the 8awg - then you can expand with no problems.

gauge and awg are really the same thing.

cover all your bases, get 0 guage down the car, up to 300 amps of current, enough to run 2 cars(or just enough for mine  )

may be ott for the vibe tho, 8 or 4 guage i would say, enough head room for some expansion like an amp for components later down the line.
