what about some thinner spacers?

i.e thick enough to get the wheel away from the spring but too too far towards the arch?

how did you make a template to see where they'd scrub? :?: :?

your main problem is that they're 15's. im told that the mk3 does not like anytihng over 14"

the "50" might be a good place to start!

really a "45 profile is best for these wheels!

15" do go on, i only have scrubbing now and then over harsh bumps! i have seen 16" which mayb a bit too big i reckon!

i have heard that 14" are the way to go on mk3's, but personally, i like the extra size of the 15's, stands out a bit more!

im running 15's on 45 profile rubber, it does catch but only with people in the back or harsh bumps, i heard though that the toyo proxes have a more rounder edge than other tyres so therefore less scrubbage apparently.
i did have the problem of tyres catching springs but 10mm spacers sorted it for me.

mine were catching on the spring cups on the rear,
i lifted the cups up put 60mm springs on and hey presto
the spring cups higher up but car is still same height as
before due to shorter springs :D

bought a weitec 40 mm lowering kit with adjustable
rear spring plates from c&r enterprises.
when i changed the bbs's for voodoo's i put the spring
plates up to the top and swapped the 40mm springs for
60mm
