Re: Winter GTi's

Re: Dodgy driver's side window...
I know this thread is really old BUT I am having the exact same issue with the passenger window! There's a clicking noise but no action. It was working 100% fine until just the other day. Tried the reset thingy to no avail. What's the most likely cause of the problem?

alarm/immobiliser questions
Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out whether my car has come with the factory alarm/immobiliser or an after-market one. I have a Hella VW key - two button, type HAA with what looks like a red LED inside - this LED is lit constantly. There is also a red LED that flashes on the door pin on the drivers ...

Re: unusual part request
Okay - jokes aside, I only have one of these! I need another one so at the very least I have one for each seat. I guess I could get something made up. But I want the car to be as original as possible...
Any ideas?

Does anyone know if we can get hold of replacement seat recliner handle thingies? My 3-door only came with one, and i think its broken - are they supposed to come completely off if you pull hard enough?

Electric window switches
OK so my drivers side window switch is playing up - its definitely the switch (I'm guessing corroded contacts) and I'm reluctant to attempt to repair it (or pay someone to) when I can probably just replace it fairly cheaply. Does anyone know what the VW part number is for this? I found this but its ...
