I've had a coolant leak on 1.4 was a slow leak half litre every few hundred miles. just had it diagnosed as water pump failure and replaced with timing belt early days but leakage seems to have stopped.

could see some pink crystals on bottom of air con pump and had leakage on drive at front right ...

If its the same as on mk5 golfs then not all the blanks can be removed, dsg cars or mfsw cars can have them removed manual non mfsw are solid plastic.

Worth checking before you remove your airbag.

I've had the car for a month now and have had to put a litres of coolant in, there is a small puddle in the drive in front of driver side front wheel but when underneath no sign of leak from that area but some liquid around back of the engine.

Hello all just joined up following buying a 1.4se with a few factory extras of rns310 sensor pack and winter pack with the missus, I know a couple of the usernames from mk5gti forum which is still my main car.

Gonna be doing a few retrofits and little tweaks in an OEM style so will be hunting ...
