Re: Help please - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 2 (P218500)

Unfortunately I dont have access to VCDS or VAG.

To be fair, I bought a cheap sensor from ebay, so as you suggest, it may be worth buying a genuine branded item and try that.

Sensor 2 is coolant return, are you suggesting there is a sensor 1?

Timing Belt change?

My 1.2 TDi has just clicked over 60k miles and is approx 5 years old.

Do I change the timing belt now, or will it be ok for a while longer? I have changed timing belts myself in the past but intend to take this one to a garage, and not VW who will rip me off £££££!

Cheers for your advice.

Re: Flashing Coil and Traction control warning lights

Well mine went back into the garage and they said they have changed the harness between throttle pedal and ECU. So far, so good. We will see how it goes!

Flashing Coil and Traction control warning lights

I took my car into VW a couple of weeks ago for them to look into my Flashing Coil and Traction control warning lights on my dash. I had an awful drive home from work that day, limp mode, juddering throttle, struggling getting any power at all. VW diagnosed it as a faulty/ damaged wiring harness bet...

I keep a spreadsheet with a few sums on it and it spits out the answers. If you cant be bothered going to that effort, its sad i know, you can download lot...

Re: Interior roof lights

I have just updated mine only last week. eBay - search for 'LED-Mafia', a guy/ company from germany supplies the kits for lots of different cars, I have been very impressed.

MPG for your Polo

Thought it would be interesting to see what other Polo users are getting from their MPG's. I run a 1.2TDI 6R, my car is used for commuting mostly, 45Miles round trip, I lift share to work which helps on the cost too. I have been keeping a spreadsheet for nearly a year and my current stats are: Range...

Re: Sunglasses Holder for 6R

Cheers Jobber.

I just thought I would be able to fit one as the panel in front of the centre light console is removable, almost as if it was able to take the sunglasses holder I posted a link to.

Thanks for your help

Sunglasses Holder for 6R

Hi all! Could some one please help me to clarify the correct part/ OEM for the 6R Sunglasses holder which sits central with the lighting cluster? I have found the following on eBay, but only for Golf/ Passat etc. Will this fit, or is the Polo holder smaller? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OEM-Grey-Sun-Gl...
