Hi all,
Been trying to diagnose a clank type of noise when I sometimes lift my clutch to bite point, but I don't really hear it at all in any gear apart from 1st.
I'm debating whether it's one of the 3 mounts, maybe the dogbone / pendulum mount?
I've recorded a video, and I'd be surprised if this ...

Re: Battery Monitor Unit - J367 Adaptation
I asked this question on a VW forum, and its owner/moderator who is a partner in an Independent VAG repair workshop, and also a proper tech, assured me that when you replace the "lump" on the earth terminal it is "plug and play".
He has found that in some cases where the battery fails, it can be ...

Re: Cold weather, engine runing rough
Aah yeah, now I remember.
For the gearbox oil, I finally bought the OEM one from VW. She is now dead smooth. An oil change is scheduled this year.
Start and stop error, multiples possibilities. You have a scan tool ?
For the whistling on acceleration, what kind of engine do you have ?
Never ...

Re: Cold weather, engine runing rough
Well, it's the only issue I have so far.
For an 11 years old car, sleeping outside all the year with 201800 km on the clock, it's not that bad I think ^^
Fair enough!
I remember we spoke about gearbox oil a few years ago, trying to look at what was best :D
Never ended up doing mine ...

Re: Cold weather, engine runing rough
This is a definite journey to watch!
Very intrigued if you figure out what caused it or what the fix is.
These polos are very sneaky things and will play up often.

Battery Monitor Unit - J367 Adaptation
Hi all,
1.0TSI Polo 6C.
Essentially I have the following fault code in the system at times, and I feel like my steering has gone heavier to an extent compared to how it used to be :
U141100: Battery Terminal Recognition - Open Circuit (Intermittent/Stored).

Intermittent Heavy Steering
Hi all,
I have a 2016 Polo 1.0TSI, and once in a while I get heavy steering but not sure why.
Not heavy as in no power steering, but i do sometimes have to turn with two hands. I have never had a steering light come on though which is weird.
It has had a used Gearbox fitted about 18 months ago ...

Help with battery
Hi, I bought a battery but unsure if it's the correct one. Unfortunately there's no markings so is there any way of knowing if it's correct.
The sticker points to a different make and model of battery. I put in the 56511 code and it goes to a banner battery instead of the one in the image. I'm ...

Re: Polo 6C 1.0 TSI battery replacement
Hi,
Yes you can put AGM battery into your car, just make sure you do battery adaptation in the gateway control unit 19, battery technology should be set to fleece.
Ok thank you that helps .. was looking at getting a used one but any is a lot more common. I presume vcds can do this as it's all ...

Polo 6C 1.0 TSI battery replacement
Hi guys,
simple question really.
Can I put an agm battery in place of my efb battery? And do i need to do any coding? I only have VCDS.
AGM is a lot more common than EFB in my searches online (UK).
I believe my stock battery is: 000915105EB according to ETKA as I have a J0S options code.

Re: Polo 6C wing mirror glass (UK)
6XD, obviously.
For manual adjustment there are no switches or electrical wires, it is done by means of flexible metal cables and with your own strength you move a knob so that the mirror moves.
It is similar to the driving force of some semi-ancient ships that used slaves to row in the galleys ...

Hot melt glue-silicone-plastic applied with a hot gun is other option (4ever👍).
... be precise when placing/centers the support on the glass.
I may be dumb right now, but what is the difference between adjustable from inside mirrors (6XB) vs power-adjustable ...
