Hi Guys,

can you help!!! A strange almost hissing noise is coming from the drivers side wheel noticed it when my window was down at a drive through. it happens when the car is at a stand still and cant really hear it when the window is up or the car is moving. any ideas???

Guys do you think it is a good idea to take out a warranty from the likes of warranty direct. if so where is the best place to get it ?

So I am guessing I will be driving along one day and it wont go into gear?

When my car is i gear i hear a strange kind of whining noise (hard to explain) sound a little like the clutch but is this common it has been going on for quite a while now? tested the clutch and it aint slipping.
Any help would be appriciated.

Got the correct ones form VW. They said they are different and a few garages have had problems locating the correct ones from non vw dealers. But got it sorted and back on the road today driving like a dream again .

Is there a known problem with getting CV joints for the GTI. My car has been in the garage for the last week and they have tried 8 different ones all said to be for the "GTI" but none of them fitted. They have now ordered them from Volkswagen so hopefully all ...

I kinda had the same problem. When I was driving the EPC light cam on now and again and I had a loss of power plus the car wouldnt go over 5000 RPM. Turned out the be the Engine Speed sensor.
£40 part but a real b***h to fit.

it only had a service last month, the service indicator was reset but now this has came on about 1000 miles after? am a bit baffled

As the topic says my oil service light came on the other day and the oil is fine and the filter has just been replaced a month back, cant find my book to find out the story with it so can someone please advise me and any ideas how to reset the light?????
