Re: Shark fin antenna compatibility
Oh I see now about the lack of FM. That makes this conversion not worthwhile to me anymore. Thanks for pointing that out.

Shark fin antenna compatibility
I’m thinking of swapping out the OEM whip antenna that came with my 2016 Polo 6C to a OEM shark fin version. I know that I need the little green FAKRA connector (PN 6Q0035575K) to mate into the shark fin antenna (PN 1K0035507J). I would ideally like to salvage a good condition shark fin antenna off ...

Re: Confused over timing belt advice
In my experience, on my 2016 Polo 6C, Volkswagen (in Australia) changed the timing belt and tensioner at approx. 95,000km. Whether this was strictly needed or not, I am not entirely sure of. I do believe it is common for the timing belt and tensioner to be changed around the point that I had mine ch...

Re: Rattles...again
Re the seatbelt… I have the same issue which drives me crazy. It’s a little squeak from something in the seatbelt assembly on the pillar that sits right next to my ear. I believe it is the height adjustable mechanism rubbing. I was going to slide a thin layer of material into the adjustable seat bel...

Jumping in to say my 6C has that squeak as well. Especially when going over speed bumps

Re: Polo 6C door card reinstallation issues
I see now! I thought you were referencing another fastener that wasn’t correctly seated.
Thank you very much for the help. Your solution will also fix my issue with the rear door cards.

Re: Polo 6C door card reinstallation issues
IMG_1911.jpg you can pull this one out as well, put it in the door card and re-assemble iichel you are amazing! That is very clever. I don’t know how I didn’t think of that  take out the last clip too and put it into the door card. it's the same as all the others, only the top disc is missing....

Re: Polo 6C door card reinstallation issues
Unrelated… but I’ve updated my door panel photo posted above as one of the red circled push-in clip holes was wrongly circled by me.

Polo 6C door card reinstallation issues
I took my Polo to get its windows tinted a few days ago. The place did not reinstall my door cards correctly. There were gaps as wide as my finger between the card and the door metal: IMG_1874.jpeg I don’t trust them to reinstall it correctly without breaking more connectors (several had marks and l...

Re: Buying Advice
I have a 2016 1.2L TSI Polo. A few things that come to mind to check around the millage of the car that you describe are: -The water pump. They often develop leaks and need to be replaced. The newer OEM water pumps that can be installed as a replacement hopefully have an improved reliability. I chan...

Re: Ignition coil puller comparison
I’ve almost got around to doing the job  Give it a few more days hopefully. I am thinking that the connectors will come off mosty without a fight. I have a plastic spudger to use on the binding mechanism. I can’t believe that a specific tool exists to remove the connectors LOL. I agree on not u...

Re: Ignition coil puller comparison
I see now. That makes a lot more sense at to why I was seeing similar DOT4 brake fluids being marked with ‘ESP’ suffixes.
