Was just about to buy a sub woofer and amp until I asked the guy how much would it cost for them to fit it and he said 60 quid!! I live in Glasgow so is there anywhere or anyone that would be willing to fit it for cheaper!!Cheers guys
if i lived close i would.
not hard at all though mate, you could prolly do it yourself with the help of a diy guide.......the hardest part i think is getting your power wire fromt he engine bay through the car.(and thats not even hard.can just be fiddly sometimes).
you'd save yourself sum cash doing it yourself...what model do you have, could see if i can take some piccies for you?
thanks very much for the reply I appreciate it! I have got the mk4 polo 1.4cl the thing thats throwin me is my 6"9 and just the general wiring up, do I wire the sub to the amp then the amp to the battery, Am very confused!!
yea the live wire is the only hard (more like annoying) part, esp if you use 4AWG or something as getting it through the bulkhead and then routing it out of site can take a while
everything else is just connecting, and positioning of your stuff
You run the power wire from the +ive connection on the battery through to the back (although you connect this last) that connects to the power terminal on the amp, the ground needs connecting to direct metal of the car's body, then the speaker wires are self explanatory. Hope that helped a bit.
