Yeah, agree with polo2k. Replace blue temp sensor and clean out all the throttle body, inlet manifold and associated pipes. See if that works first.

That screw on the throttle body is for the idle speed not the mixture. You dont want to adjust that if it idled ok before. You cant really adjust the mixture, as its controlled by the ecu.

Mine did something similar to this.... as it was a very 'new' and worrying problem that developed on a single journey (suddenly, no 'go' up the hills etc) i gave the HT leads a little push extra (they werent loose), took off the inlets (no help), took the top off the air cleaner and gave the filter a shake out, and it was back to normal when everything was all together...

I refuse to believe "take out your air filter and shake it" is a viable course of repair though, so what was all that about?

lol, ive got the same problem. I took out the air filter and seemed to idle much much better. Ive still got the problem. Starts to shake the car a lot. Like its shivering. Its almost become a joke. Ive got some pictures of my engine. If someone could edit them and point to where im supposed to be looking it would b e a great help to everyone whos got this problem!

Thanks dan
