erm... no - when you're calculating it UP from the wheels using the same losses you use a 25% increase from the wheel figures to the fly!

To give an example: If you had a 50% transmission loss and 100hp at the fly - wheels = 50hp, but to convert back you need to DOUBLE the wheel hp to get back to 100hp at the fly!

so with 20% loss flywheel to wheels:

4/5 x the fly = wheels,
5/4 x the wheels = the fly

so 106bhp goes to 132.5 bhp at the fly.
and 109bhp goes to just over 136 at the fly - an 11hp increase over stock.

Riiiight.........During my last dyno run....i got 127 HP at the wheels...

Now do your math, and after you calculate plz tell me my flywheel horsepower...and make me smile........

As simple as that........

EDIT: HOLY s**t DUDE !!! I'VE GOT 158.75 HORSEPOWER !!!! OMFG

if that's the rolling road figures that's 129.1 "CV" at the fly and 113.3 at the wheels?

I tried to search his posts, but all I learnt is that he's got a mk5 golf gti.

so it would be easier if poussou linked to a post with info on it, or just gave a quick run-down

If loss is 20%
flywheel horsepower = Wheel horsepower / 0.8

Very easy, don't make it complicated

No polosilver...

This AFAIK was the first remap i did with software from that company and it was "stage 1" meaning WITHOUT the camshafts....

I DO however still have the code stored in my PC (kept it when i upgraded) and am willing to part with it for a small fee.......

It was pretty good for stage 1 but not enough for the camshaft change.

The 2nd remapp was done ON THE DYNO with a wideband sensor, and a virtual inertia system. That gave the full 127 whp....

Cheers...

No but you CAN find a simply electronics man to remove, flash, and resolder the EPROM chip. Its a piece of cake and routine job for a skilled person.Thats what i did to my car too, since there is no OBD flash option for our ECU.

Still, you would have to check with the ECU number and immobilizer info..  .But at least you won't have to pay the full software amount
