JACKING up a POLO

Hey
Can anyone tell me where the best place to put AXLE STANDS under the front end of a polo is?

The jacking points are marked but just wondering where best place to put axle stands are

PICs would be great

don't have pics, but I believe the correct place is just behind the front wheel, if u place your hand under the side skirt u will feel an indentation.

Thats where u should place the jack, am not 100% sure if this is the same place u can use the axel stands but I presume so.

u can place the axel stands on the sills, polo's are light cars so it wudnt bend the sills in, but there shud b chassis legs 2 hold them on, im not sure tho

If you are talking about the strip of metal that runs behind/underneath the side skirts then your right. This is where we jack up most cars at work.

Once again I am not sure about where to put axel stands :?

you put the axle stand in the same place you would jack the car up from and the sills for jacking and standing iver that or your could put an axle stand on the rear of the subframe.
Any 1 out there with a set of late VR6 calipers?

put the axel stands on anything solid under the car.

theres pretty obvious places to put them wen u have a look.

If you look on the sills, just under the doors, there are a set of downward facing triangles, one set behind the front wheels and one set in front of the rears, these are your jacking points.

i think he knows that m8. he was looking for a place to put axel stands other than the sills.
