WIRES!

Does anybody no if you can get into the rubber boot thing between the door and the sar by the hige? I have a break in my window wires and its gettin HOT!

Do you mean that you need to get to the wiring loom that runs from the door pillar to the door,if so its a major job i'd take the interior door trim of first to see if the broken wire is in there. there should also be a plug which you can disconnect so a door can be removed from its hinge's.IF the break is on the pillar side then thats a job for an auto electrician as they may have to remove the whole wiring loom that feeds the door. Yeah i think the break is in the rubber thing between door and car as when a shake this i can get the window to move. can the wires in this rubber thing be got to?

likely if u take off the door swap an have a good look, but really u shud take it 2 a specialist in electrics in vw's they know straight away wot the problem wud b an how 2fix it, well usually, good luck

ok the wireing loom is integrated into the boot. so if you get a C spanner and unscrew the boot it will pop offthe car and unplug from teh car wireing. then take the doorcard off and you will see where that loom joins the other looms disconnect them plugs.

goto a VW dealer and say i need this be or failing that goto a scrappy. replace and jobs a goodun.

the door wireing is all modular so its easy.
