The side repeaters fitted to a mk5 6n2 (and other VWs from then up to the present) are a push-in type fitment, whereas the mk4 6n Polo has a screw-in type of repeater?

Basically the repeaters are the same size but not the same fitment :(

I've got a mark 4 (1997) and it has push type repeaters. Just need a push to the left and they come straight out.

I did this job 2wks ago on my 97 6n.Kerley is right they are push on a 97 6n but i'm not sure about other years. you might have to adapt the bulb socket thou as the ones i got from VAG were slightly different.

Has anyone more info about fitting 6n2 side repeaters to a 6n? My current side repeaters are push/pull fitment - I'm wondering if I can just swap in some 6n2 repeaters once I use 6n2 bulbholders? Or are the connectors or anything also different..?

This is wrecking my head so any info would be mucho appreciated!

Alright, I think this is how it goes...

Both the 6N & the 6N2 have a push fitment side repeater, but the bulb holder socket is different. This means, that to fit the 6N2 ones to your 6N you would have to modify them. Probably easier to buy the part designed for that model!
